Welcome To WestPark Elementary!

Welcome to the new school year! On behalf of the entire staff, we extend a warm and enthusiastic greeting to both our returning families and those who are new to our school community. We are incredibly excited to embark on another year of learning, growth, and discovery with your children.  Just as a wolf pack demonstrates unity, resilience, and strategic cooperation, we aim to cultivate these powerful traits in our students.

A cornerstone of our school's philosophy is Leader In Me, which continues to be an integral part of our daily lives here. Based on Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the Leader In Me program empowers students with essential life skills and leadership qualities. Through this framework, our students learn to be proactive, set goals, prioritize tasks, think win-win, seek to understand before being understood, synergize, and sharpen the saw. These habits are not just taught; they are woven into our curriculum, classroom interactions, and school culture, helping your children develop self-awareness, responsibility, and the ability to make positive choices.

This year, we embrace the inspiring theme: "The Spirit of a Wolf, the Heart of a Leader".  This powerful theme was proudly developed by our dedicated Student Lighthouse Team and enthusiastically voted on by our entire student body. The Student Lighthouse Team is a select group of students who serve as the authentic student voice in our ongoing Leader In Me journey. Their goal is to empower their peers and build leadership capacity throughout our school, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their unique leadership potential.

We firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are vital to a child's success. We encourage you to actively participate in our school community, whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply staying connected with your child's teacher. Your involvement sends a powerful message to your child about the importance of education.

We are looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year filled with exciting learning opportunities and memorable experiences. Please explore our website to find important information, calendars, and resources. Do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office with any questions or concerns.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, we will make this a truly exceptional year.
